(WTNH) — Nestlé is recalling a popular frozen treat after discovering batches may be contaminated with Listeria.

Nestlé is voluntarily recalling its Drumstick ice cream cones in the Club 16-count variety pack, as well as the 24-count vanilla pack due, to a possible Listeria contamination.

According to Nestlé, no one has gotten sick so far, but the company is initiating this recall as a precautionary action.

Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly people and others with weakened immune systems.

The recall is limited to the product made at the company’s Bakerfield, California facility.

Consumers who may have purchased the product should not consume it, but instead should return it to the place of purchase or contact Nestlé Consumer Services for replacement.
