EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Community members and local organizations came together Thursday night to celebrate and learn about manufacturing in Hampshire County.
More than 50 people gathered in Easthampton to hear manufacturing companies discuss their work, and highlight the state’s strong manufacturing presence.
The Manufacturing Day event was designed as an informal networking meet up for students, parents and job seekers.
Patricia Crosby from the Franklin Regional Employment Board told 22News, “What they do need is somebody who is well prepared, with basic foundational skills, measuring skills, understanding of concepts and quality.”
The day is part of a month-long series of state wide events. The Franklin Hampshire Regional Employment Board hosted the event.
