(NBC/WHDH) Three dining halls at Harvard University have been closed indefinitely after workers went on strike Wednesday morning.

750 dining hall workers began picketing before dawn.

They’re asking for a $35,000 per year salary, guaranteed summer employment and to have their health care left alone.

The university countered with an offer that includes an increase in wages by 10-percent over five years and a summer stipend.
