CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee Police have responded twice Wednesday morning to more moose sightings.

Chicopee Police Officer Michael Wilk told 22News one of the calls they received, a moose was stuck in a fence. The moose was let free with the assistance of the Environmental Police.

The moose ruined part of the lawn trying to free itself from the fence.

The moose has decided to stay in the neighborhoods in the Fariview, Homer Street, Gladdu Avenue, and Britton Street area, said Wilk.

Wilk also says residents should not approach or attempt to feed the moose, and if possible, remove any food sources.

It is not known if this is the same moose, or a close friend or relative, of the one that was recently located, said Wilk.
