104th Fighter Wing to conduct flying training

Training will include basic fighter maneuvering

The 104 Air National Guard from Barnes in Westfield had two F-15s do the flyover before the start of the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in September of 2015.

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The 104th Fighter Wing at Barnes Air National Guard Base in Westfield is conducting routine training Wednesday through Friday.

The training includes a F-15 aircraft flight scheduled Monday through Friday over southern Vermont and the New Hampshire border.

There will be two periods of training. They will be up to approximately one hour, both in the late morning and early afternoon.

The communities that may experience increased aircraft activity during these periods are Deerfield Valley Regional, Jamaica Westminster West, Putney, W Dummerston, Windham, and Bondville.

The F-15 Eagles will be above 10,000 feet and will not be conducting low altitude training.

Training will include basic fighter maneuvering.
