LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – The owners of a number of boats at the Pioneer Valley Yacht Club in Longmeadow are trying to figure out how to remove graffiti, which included swastikas and racial slurs.

The boats, which are being stored at the yacht club, were vandalized with a variety of racist and homophobic slurs, including the “N” word. Swastikas were also spray painted on one boat in green spray paint. The word “Trump” was painted on another.

Greg Dumeny of Longmeadow is one of the boat owners. He told 22News that he tried to remove the graffiti itself, but he was not successful.

“It could potentially be some hate because of the graphic language, even racial slurs, it could be down here because it’s Longmeadow- I really have no idea, Trump- I’m not saying why some put that on there. But could be some kids, but it think it’s some angry kids,” Dumeny said.

The vandalism is believed to have happened sometime since Monday. Longmeadow police are looking into who is responsible.
