Stage set for tonight’s debate

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will face-off tonight at Hofstra University.

(NBC News) Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will take the stage tonight for their first presidential debate at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.

Both sides are already putting their own spin on the evening.

Clinton’s team is concerned the bar has been set too low for Trump.

“Just because he doesn’t fly off the handle in the middle of this debate doesn’t mean that he’s prepared to be President of the United States,” Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said on CNN Sunday.

Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, meanwhile, said Trump “has every right to be defend himself.”

The debate will take place over 90 minutes, broken into six 15 minute sections.
