CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The New England Patriots face the Houston Texans in Week 3 of the NFL regular season. This is the 16th time the Pats play a Thursday night game.

The game starts at 8:25 p.m. at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.

Houston Texans, 0 vs. New England Patriots, 27  –  FINAL

Both teams are entering this game 2-0. In Week 1 and 2, the Patriots beat the Arizona Cardinals (23-21) and Miami Dolphins (31-24), while the Texans beat the Chicago Bears (23-14) and the Kansas City Chiefs (19-12).

The Patriots have been playing with Jimmy Garoppolo as the starting quarterback while Tom Brady services a 4 game suspension for the “Deflategate” investigation. Unfortunately, in the second quarter against the Dolphins, Garoppolo injured his throwing arm.

In a short week, rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett had to prepare to start against the Texans if Garoppolo couldn’t start. Earlier in the week, Coach Bill Belichick said, “He’s going to prepare for the game the same way, regardless of whether he’s going to start the game or not.”
