WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – At the Big E on Thursday, Massachusetts Secretary of State William Galvin reminded voters that they don’t have to wait until November 8th to cast their ballot. Early voting in Massachusetts begins on October 24th and ends on November 4th.
Galvin told 22News he expects the presidential election to bring 3 million voters to polling stations statewide. He said early voting would take some of the pressure off election day in November. “We’re offering financial incentives to open [voting locations],” Galvin explained, “particularly on the weekend Saturday and Sunday. Most of them chose to open on Saturday, the 29th. Many will have extended hours during the week as well.”
Every Massachusetts home will receive a booklet explaining the four questions on the ballot. It also contains information how to register to vote without leaving home.
