UMass student hit by car is expected to survive

Kyle Yeh, 19, had been out for a run at the time of the accident


AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – A University of Massachusetts student is recovering at Baystate Medical Center, after being struck by a car on campus Tuesday night.

University spokesperson Ed Blaguszewski told 22News that 19 year-old Kyle Yeh had been out for a run when he was struck by a car at Massachusetts Avenue and Mullins Way, shortly before 6:00 P.M.

He was taken to the hospital by ambulance, and is expected to survive, Blaguszewski said.

UMass police, along with Hadley police and the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office are still looking into what caused the accident. No charges have been filed at this time.
