Jimmy Fallon get corny

(KTVB) People have been flocking to the Farmstead Corn Maze and Pumpkin Festival in Meridian, Idaho for 20 years now.

The corn maze is comprised of nearly 20 acres and a million ears of corn. It’s a maze that’s a year-round process and a year-round operation.

The maze has now grown into a nationally recognized attraction. Since 1996, people have flocked to the corn field in Meridian for an adventure.

“We may not have professional teams, big time professional teams, but we love Idaho and this strikes to the heart of what Idaho is,” Farmstead co-owner Jim Lowe says.

After 20 years, the maze has grown into a whole farm experience, including zip lines, hay rides, and a pumpkin patch.

“Agritourism we call it, or agritainment,” Lowe laughs.

The maze is a year-round process as Jim and Hillary first harvest the corn in the field. The couple then gets started on the idea of what the maze will look like, which eventually gets mapped out.

“We have no view from the air as we’re creating it. So we cut that out. We have a moment of truth when we go up in the helicopter to see what it looks like,” Lowe says.

This year that design is a familiar face to NBC viewers: Jimmy Fallon.
