Granby Police investigate car break-ins, 1 arrested

Officers are continuing to investigate other breaks in town

GRANBY, Mass. (WWLP) – Granby Police Department has received several calls over the weekend from residents who reported their cars had been entered and items had been stolen.

Granby Police said officers investigated the reports and arrested Lawrence Wildman, 44, of Lyman Street in South Hadley, when a resident reported suspicious activity.

The arrest linked Wildman to several cars broken into at one residence, said Granby Police.

Officers are continuing to investigate other breaks in town.

Granby Police also said all the cars reported to have been entered had been left unlocked.

Wildman also stated, “If the cars are unlocked, they are fair game,” said Granby Police.
