WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – There’s a new solar farm in Westfield. The developer, ConEdison, put the solar panels on what used to be a 10-acre “brownfield” site.
The 8.844 panel solar installation will generate clean energy to local homes.
22News spoke with the CEO of ConEdison Development, Mark Noyes, to find out how many homes will be getting this energy. He said, “This would power about 300 homes in this region and the power all goes to Westfield Gas & Electric, so all the power will stay here locally.”
We were also there to see the official ribbon cutting take place.
