HUNTINGTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Residents of the western Hampshire County town of Huntington and the western Hampden County town of Chester were unable to dial 911 from landline phones on Monday.
According to Massachusetts State Police, the service to both towns was full restored by 8:30 p.m. Monday. Though out the day, residents had to use their cell phones to call 911 in case of an emergency.
State Police were handling emergency dispatch.
