Reflecting on the experience of Ride to Remember

22News wants to congratulate all the riders

BOSTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Just hours after finishing a more than 100 mile bicycle ride from Springfield to Boston, 22News storm team meteorologist Jennifer Pagliei came back to work to forecast the weather for western Massachusetts.

Jen completed the Ride to Remember a 106 mile bicycle ride from Springfield to Boston. She was part of the sea of blue riders as they approached the state house in Government Center shortly before 4:30 Saturday afternoon.

Jen peddled along with hundreds of others for close to 10 hours. She pushed through her fatigue, but said she couldn’t have done it alone.

Jennifer Pagliei, Finished the Ride to Remember told 22News, “Everyone wanted to finish together. It wasn’t a race. It was about not leaving anyone behind. When I was struggling I had so many people telling me, you got this, push through it. Physically and mentally they helped me move from Springfield to Boston. These people will always have a place in my heart for sure.”

Jenn went on to say that the feeling of crossing the finish line was indescribable. She said she was honored to be a part of the Ride to Remember, to honor fallen officers, which ultimately raised $80,000.

Jen rode the race alongside her 22News colleague Jessica Pertusz of our sales department. 22News wants to congratulate all the riders.
