NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – A presidential candidate was in Northampton Sunday.
Green Party Presidential candidate Dr. Jill Stein spoke with voters on what she feels are key issues in the November election.
She discussed her plans to relieve student debt, and to create a welcoming path for immigrants to become citizens, and her goal of establishing an emergency jobs program that will also help fix the climate crisis.
Stein told 22News she believes she has what it takes to win come November, saying, “We say forget this propaganda of powerlessness, we actually are powerful and we do have the numbers to turn this around the minute we stand up with the courage of our convictions.”
Stein ran and lost campaigns for president back in 2012, Massachusetts Secretary of State in 2006, State Representative in 2004 and Governor in 2002.
