WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Big E is now underway, and as part of its first weekend, a special Mass will be celebrated at the fairgrounds. Sunday morning’s Mass, which is being held at the Court of Honor Stage outside the Eastern States Coliseum, will be broadcast live on the Chalice of Salvation at 10:00 A.M. here on 22News.

The Mass, which will be celebrated by Bishop Emeritus Timothy McDonnell, will also be live streamed here on WWLP.com.

Brother Terrence Scanlon, who is the host and executive producer of Chalice of Salvation, told the official Diocesan news website iObserve, that they are returning the program to the Big E for the first time in 15 years.

“Not only does this broadcast highlight the presence of God in all that is celebrated at the Big E, but it also brings the fair into the homes of so many who can no longer go in person, but very much enjoy the sights and sounds of the Big E,” Scanlon said.
