CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee Police say the Chicopee Boys & Girls Club is warning residents about a possible scammer using the Club as a reason to solicit money.

The Club said a situation has been brought to their attention that involved a youth allegedly going door to door selling cookies and telling residents he was raising money for the Club.

The Club is warning residents that they do not participate in any door fundraising.

If you someone contacts you be either phone or door to door, call the Club for confirmation before handing over any money. You can also contact the Chicopee Police Department at 413-592-6341 if they persist.
