AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Her name did not appear on the ballot Tuesday, but it will appear on the ballot in November. Former State Representative Rosemary Sandlin has received enough write-in votes in order to appear as the Democratic candidate in the 3rd Hampden District.

She picked up 500 write-in votes in Agawam alone, well above the 150 necessary to qualify for the November ballot.

Sandlin, an Agawam resident, lost her seat in the House of Representatives to Southwick Republican Nick Boldyga in 2010. The two will now face-off again in the general election.

The 3rd Hampden District includes all precincts in the towns of Agawam, Southwick, and Granville.
