(WTMJ) Wisconsin’s Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office is calling the numbers of drug related deaths over the holiday weekend unprecedented.
They are investigating more than a dozen in the last four days.
Out of those 13 deaths, three were women and ten were men. The medical examiner’s reports show many had known opiate addictions. It’s a continuance of the problem their office has been seeing throughout the year.
“We’ve never seen a weekend like that since the time that I’ve been here,” said Sara Schreiber. “This is definitely a benchmark here in Milwaukee County.”
