BRIMFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – It is a jam-packed final week for treasure hunters at the Brimfield Antique Show. This week is the last of three week-long showcases of unique, rare, and collectible items from years past.
Despite the somewhat dreary weather Wednesday, the crowds were abundant, coming from as far away as Australia, and as close by as Palmer.
Vendors at the fair told 22News that younger buyers tend to be particularly interested in furniture, with pieces featuring mid-century contemporary designs being especially popular in recent years.
Veteran vendor Robert Ross of Northampton told 22News, “A lot of people are buying stuff for home decor, some people want that antique look, something to hang in the garden. A lot of contemporary stuff what we might call contemporary.”
The Brimfield Antique Show has three runs each year, once in May, once in July, and once in September. This final show of the year ends on Sunday.
