SARATOGA, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A woman from upstate New York was expected in court Tuesday in connection with a deadly hit and run accident.
Police say Maria Lentini of Saratoga Springs was driving on Route 9 in Halfmoon when she hit 30-year-old Patrick Duff.
Police say the accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on December 6, 2015, but Lentini didn’t call police until around 3:45 a.m., almost hour and a half later.
According to documents, she drove around with his body impaled in her windshield.
Lentini’s sister was the first person to call 911 about the incident, not Lentini, according to the indictment.
Lentini was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, reckless endangerment and refusing a breathalyzer test.
