Wind complicates fire at ocean-front home in Rhode Island

Water issues were reported

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WPRI) — Fire crews were called to the scene of a large fire at an ocean-front home in Narragansett on Monday night.

Fire officials say the flames broke out inside a home at 252 Ocean Road.

Photos sent into the Eyewitness Newsroom show a large, wind-swept fire. Several communities sent mutual aid to assist the Narragansett firefighters.

North Kingstown firefighters said on Twitter the strong winds fueled the flames. They also reported water issues.

According to tax records found online, the multi-million-dollar home belongs to late PawSox owner James J. Skeffington.
