NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Northampton Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a Yamaha G1 golf cart that was stolen on the first night of the Three County Fair.

According to Northampton Police Capt. John Cartledge, the golf cart belongs to Michael “Beeper” Sklarski, a member of the Melha Shriners Clown Unit from Springfield. Beeper used the cart as part of his performances.

“You know its like my toy. I got hip troubles and back troubles. My daughter brought it for me, so I can keep on playing clown,” said Beeper.

“The golf cart was stolen from the Arena Building within the Fairgrounds during the overnight hours,” Capt. Cartledge said. The four seat golf cart was recently painted canary yellow, and described by police to have a lift kit with knobby tires, white seats, chrome rims, and worth about $7,000.

Anyone with information is asked to call Northampton Public Safety at 413-587-1100.
