Manhunt continues for a father who allegedly stabbed son

Young described as about 6 foot 2, 150 pounds, wearing blue jeans and black and white sneakers

HOLLAND, Mass. (WWLP) – It’s a story you saw first on 22News at six on Saturday. A manhunt for a stabbing suspect in Sturbridge. We called the Sturbridge Police for an update. They told us the search is continuing Sunday night with police dogs.

Sturbridge Police Sgt. Kevin Mercier told 22News it all started on Vinton Road just before 7 o’clock Friday night.

They found a young boy’s arm was wounded. He was taken to the hospital, had surgery and is expected to live. A woman was also taken to the hospital. It’s believed their wounds had something to do with their father, 42 year old Brent Young.

Saturday’s search extended into the western Massachusetts town of Holland, but now it’s limited to Sturbridge. It’s an area of thick woods and wetlands.

Young described as about 6 foot 2, 150 pounds, blue eyes, black and gray short hair, last seen wearing blue jeans and black and white sneakers.
