Car fire on Hall Street in Springfield

Car crashed into two other cars before flipping over

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A car caught on fire after crashing in Springfield early Sunday morning.

Springfield police Captain Brian Keenan told 22News police and firefighters were called to Hall Street just after 1:30 AM for a car accident.

When the 22News crew arrived, the car was flipped over and firefighters were still trying to put out the fire.

According to Capt. Keenan, the driver hit two cars before flipping over. The driver was taken to Baystate Medical Center and is expected to be okay.

Captain Keenan said the driver will be cited for distracted driving.
