SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Labor Day weekend is when Western Massachusetts’ Armenian-American community invites their neighbors to share their culture.
Traditional dances are deeply rooted in these celebrations at St. Mark Armenian church in Springfield and so is the food which always attract a crowd. Parishioners told 22News, they enjoy their traditions with their neighbors.
Calene Jermakian, St. Mark Armenian Church told 22News, “St. Mark has been active in the community for years and we’re just so proud of our culture sharing our food our traditions.”
An estimated 700 people attended this festive event which is traditionally the biggest fundraiser for the St. Mark Armenian church.
