HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Western Massachusetts seniors are more aware of the need to keep themselves from becoming a burden to their children.
This was apparent during Wednesday’s senior citizens gathering at the Log Cabin, an event called Sensational Senior Fest. A tribute to the older population.
77-year-old, George Murphy of Holyoke, told 22News how he’s responsible for this own well-being.
“I’m going to my doctor when I should go there. I do what I’m supposed to do, and that’s how I stay healthy. I expect to live to be 100,” said Murphy.
To help him reach his goal, Holyoke Medical Center, along with other health agencies, provided a wealth of information designed to help senior citizens maintain good health.
