SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield Police were investigating in the Knox Street area, Monday night, after a man was shot in the thigh.
Springfield Police Lt. Scott Richard told 22News, just after 6:00 p.m., a shotspotter was activated near 17 Knox Street, in front of Knox Street Market.
Lt. Richard said the victim was shot in the thigh, and his foot was injured by shrapnel. However, the man was able to walk into Baystate Medical Center in Springfield on his own.
No one’s been arrested and police haven’t named any suspects.
