West Springfield, Mass. (WWLP) – A Zoning Review Committee has been created by Mayor William Reichelt to get community members together to brainstorm and discuss the future of West Springfield–specifically as applies to zoning.
The committee will be made up of 13 members–2 from the town council, 4 from the volunteer boards and 7 from the general public. They will be discussing what should allowed in West Springfield, and where it should be located.
“Their goal will be to solicit feedback as well from businesses, residents that want to come in whether it’s to talk about signs or improve sidewalks, landscape buffers, whether this business should be allowed here or should be allowed there,” explains Mayor Reichelt.
The committee will ultimately produce a new zoning code that will be adopted by the council.
