Having problems with your Charter cable box? Here’s what to do

Some boxes may be locked-up or missing portions of their lineup

(WWLP) – A system upgrade late Tuesday night may have caused some Charter cable customers’ boxes to lock up or lose a portion of their lineup.

If this happened to you, Charter is recommending that you unplug your cable box for 60 seconds, and then plug it back in. If your box does not return to normal after five minutes (the clock should be displaying the correct time), call support at (888) 438-2727, where Charter will reprogram your box.

When you call, you will need a phone number or account number to use their automated system.
