Diabetic test strips stolen from West Springfield pharmacy

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – West Springfield police are looking to identify a man and a woman who they say stole hundreds of diabetic test strips from the Rite Aid pharmacy on Westfield Street.

West Springfield Police Detective Michael Kennedy told 22News that the theft took place on Wednesday. The couple attempted to buy diabetic test strips and gave the pharmacist a check for them. When the check was declined, they grabbed both the check and the test strips, and ran out of the store.

According to a posting on the West Springfield Police Department Facebook page, the strips were worth more than $250.
