Pet of the Week: Moe the cat

CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – In today’s edition of Pet of the Week, we were introduced to Moe, a 9-year-old Domestic Shorthair Mix Cat. Lee Chambers, Manager of Marketing and Communications at Dakin Humane Society told us more about Moe, and also introduced us to Dakin’s new Executive Director, Carmine Dicenso.

Name: Moe (FIV+)
Breed: Domestic Shorthair Mix
Age: 9 years old
Sex: Male
Color: Tan/White/Black

Moe is a Dakin staff favorite because of his lovable ways and sweet demeanor. He was brought to Dakin because his person was moving and couldn’t take him along, so he’s been waiting for a home for more than 3 months now. We want to see him find a new person or family who will fall in love with his sweet personality. Moe is FIV+ (FIV positive), which means that he is best suited for a quiet, low stress environment, ideally as an only cat or as a companion to another FIV+ cat. Moe recently had eye surgery (he was born without eyelids), so he may need some follow-up care for that, but our Dakin adoption staff members can tell you more. Come meet this charming fellow at our Springfield Adoption & Education Center.
