SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A serial bank robber, who was arrested in Enfield, Connecticut this week, is the main suspect in a Chicopee bank robbery last month.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News 35-year-old Joseph Richey was wanted for armed robbery and assault with intent to murder. He allegedly held up the TD Bank at 153 Meadow Street on July 6th.

Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni said Richey was arrested by Enfield Police and Massachusetts State Police in July after a chase with Springfield Police. Richey’s also suspected of robberies in Agawam, Holyoke, Ludlow and West Springfield.

Officer Wilk said Richey was arraigned in court, and is being held in Ludlow.

The same TD Bank was robbed last week in Chicopee. Police are still searching for that suspect.
