WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Tuesday morning’s heavy rain caused street flooding, particularly in West Springfield.
A common trouble spot is the railroad underpass on River Street, and Tuesday was no exception. A 22News viewer sent us video of the flooding at the underpass, at around 6:30 A.M. and cars getting stuck in the water.
Remember, if you see flooding on the roadway, it is impossible to judge just how deep the water is. Even if the roadway is not already blocked off, remember: “Turn around, don’t drown.”
