SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield police are investigating a Tuesday morning robbery at a bank on Boston Road.
Springfield Police Sgt. Ken Turowsky told 22News that the TD Bank at 1800 Boston Road was held up shortly before 8:15 A.M. That is just minutes after the bank opened up for the day.
Turowsky said that the suspect jumped the counter, telling everyone the bank was being robbed, and that they should get down on the floor. The suspect rummaged through cash drawers and grabbed some cash. He then ran away toward Laconia and Verge Streets.
