Demolition begins to make space for new medical office building

Development Associates of Agawam is currently looking for a permanent tenant

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – A nearly 50 year old hotel is being demolished to make way for a medical office building in Northampton.

Demolition began Thursday at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center on Atwood Drive in Northampton. It’ll become a 60,000 square foot medical facility, similar to those already on the property for Cooley Dickinson Health.

Development Associates of Agawam is currently looking for a permanent tenant. They sent 22News a statement saying:

Although we are saddened to witness an end to the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center, this is a major step toward completing the extremely successful development.
