Chicopee bank robbed again, police searching for suspect

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Chicopee police are searching for a suspect, after a Willimansett bank has been robbed for the second time this month.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News that the TD Bank at 153 Meadow Street was robbed at around 1:00 p.m. The suspect, who was wearing dark clothing, claimed that he had a weapon.

No one was hurt, and the robber got away in a red, Nissan style car with New York plates. Additional details were not immediately available.

The same bank branch was robbed on July 6. The suspect in that robbery, 35 year-old Joseph Richey, was arrested in Enfield, Connecticut about a week later.
