LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – A wanted felon was arrested in Ludlow, Friday, after an extensive search by multiple law enforcement agencies at a wooded area near the Springfield Reservoir.
According to a news release from Ludlow Police, around 11:42 a.m. Friday, officers assigned to a Hampden County Task Force were attempting to arrest 39-year-old Corey N. Griffin at the Woodland Circle near Moore Street, when he got away on foot.
Griffin was wanted by the Hampden Superior Court for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender.
The new release stated that Ludlow Police Officers, a Massachusetts State Police K-9 Trooper, several State Troopers, and the MSP Airwing, were called in to secure the area and help find Griffin.
He was eventually found and arrested by Ludlow Police Sgt. Daniel Valadas in a wooded area near Reservoir Road, according to the news release. Griffin was booked at the Ludlow Police Station, and then later handed over to the Task Force Officers.
