Over 20 cats rescued from condemned home in Springfield

The cats will be taken to Thomas J O'Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center to be evaluated

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – At least 20 cats were pulled from a home in Springfield and there could be at least 10 more inside.

Animal Control supervisor at Thomas J O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center, Hannah Chapman told 22News they’re setting up traps to try and catch all of the cats, which could be as much as 30.

The house is located at 39 Cleveland Street and is full of feces, says Chapman.

They’re all being brought to Thomas J O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center, and if they are healthy they will be put up for adoption.
