HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – A Hispanic tradition will return to Holyoke later this month; The 29th Annual La Familia Parade and Festival will be a four day event at Holyoke’s Springdale Park. The festival starts next Thursday night, July 14th.
The event ends with a parade through Holyoke’s Hispanic neighborhoods on Sunday, the 18th. Holyoke City Councilor Diosdado Lopez, one of the Festival organizers told 22News “We’re very proud holding this event, especially the parade. We want to keep the tradition. We hope people won’t forget their traditions about their culture.”
Organizers expect to attract festival participants from Hispanic communities throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut. Sunday’s parade is set to start at 11 a.m.
