Fire on power lines cause brush fire in Greenfield

The brush fire is less than a quarter acre in size

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Firefighters were called to a brush fire on Mountain Road in Greenfield, Thursday afternoon.

Greenfield Fire Captain Andrew Garvin told 22News the brush fire is less than a quarter acre in size. He said the fire started on power lines, which were knocked down.

Dry conditions caused the fire to spread on the ground, and firefighters were working to put out the flames.
