(KARE) – A 32-year-old black man was shot and killed by a Minnesota police officer during a traffic stop on Wednesday, allegedly regarding a bad taillight.
Family members identified the victim as Philando Castile.
The shooting occurred when Castile told the officer that he was going to reach for his wallet to get his ID, but also told the officer he had a firearm on him, which he’s licensed to carry.
Castile’s girlfriend broadcast the aftermath of the shooting on Facebook Live.
