Springfield strip club admits to license violations

One of the charges included having a drunk employee on premises

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno will decide what punishment an Entertainment District strip club will face for violating its license.

An attorney for the Showbar acknowledged several violations at Tuesday night’s License Hearing at City Hall. Among the charges; having a drunk employee on premises, failing to have a manager present, failing to call police quickly enough, and “security plan” violations.

Attorney Alesia Days, Springfield’s Director of Licensing, told 22News, “Now the next step would be to discuss this matter with the Mayor, and he will issue an appropriate sanction.”

Attorney Days did not say what sanctions Mayor Sarno might impose or when. The License Commission will re-convene next week.
