PHOENIX (AP) — An Arizona man faces 24 years in prison and lifetime probation for luring a Massachusetts boy to have sex.
Maricopa County Superior Court officials say Bradley David Cooper of Chandler was sentenced Tuesday. He pleaded guilty in May to sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of attempted molestation of a child. Cooper was arrested in June 2014.
Police say the then 14-year-old boy was reported as kidnapped from his home in Pittsfield. The boy told police he met Cooper online.
Cooper was 47 at the time and police say he posed as a 16-year-old boy online and spoke to the victim about running away and having a sexual relationship.
Cooper was accused of picking up the teen in Massachusetts and they left by car for Arizona.
