Lt. Governor signed a Community Compact with Ludlow

The municipal partnerships hope to improve individual cities and towns

LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) – Governor Charlie Baker and Lt. Governor Karyn Polito are signing Community Compacts across the state.

These “Compacts” are agreements between state and local governments that aim to strengthen Massachusetts as a whole. The municipal partnerships hope to improve individual cities and towns through self-selected best practices.

Lt. Governor Polito told 22News, “This community has signed into a best practice to have their police department accredited; I think that’s a great best practice that will work for this community.”

Polito signed this Community Compact with Ludlow on Tuesday. This is the 231st community compact to be implemented, 73 of which are in western Massachusetts.
