38th Annual Bridge of Flowers

CHICOPEE, MA. (Mass Appeal) – The 38th Annual Bridge of Flowers 10k Classic & 3k Charity Race is a time for people to gather in support of five community charities including Dial Self Youth & Community Services, The Art Garden, A Community Arts Center in Shelburne Falls, Cancer Connection, The Children’s Advocacy Center of Franklin County and North Quabbin, and the National Kidney Foundation.

  • 1 in 3 American adults-73 million people-is at risk for kidney disease.
  • 1 in 9 American adults-26 million people-has kidney disease- and most don’t know it.
  • Early detection and treatment can slow or prevent the progression of kidney disease.
  • Over 122,000 Americans are in need of a kidney transplant. Only 10% will get one.

Your kidneys are your body’s filters, removing waste and excess fluid. They also balance chemicals, control blood pressure, and keep your bones strong.

Age 60 and over
African American, Hispanic, Asian, American Indian, or Pacific Islander
Obesity (BMI of 30 or above)
