Greenfield man arrested for allegedly threatening people with a knife and pipe

He's being held on $2,500 bail.

GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Greenfield man was arrested, accused of threatening people with a knife and a pipe.

43 year old Raymond Segarra will be arraigned on Monday.

Police say just before 2 o’clock on Friday he got into an argument with two people at 9 Wells Street.

Segarra was allegedly yelling racist words at the victims and threatening to cut them.

Police were able to use surveillance footage to verify witness statements and ultimately arrested Segarra and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon, intimidating witnesses, violating a protection order and interference with civil rights.

He’s being held on $2,500 bail.
