GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Mega Millions jackpot just keeps getting bigger. Friday night’s Mega Millions jackpot’s expected to hit $363-million.
This jackpot’s been growing for 30 consecutive drawings and still no one has picked the correct six-number combination.
This is just about half the size of the biggest Mega Millions jackpot which was $656-million on March 20, 2012.
22News found out that a growing Mega Millions jackpot results in more lottery ticket sales.
“Oh yeah we have a whole bunch coming in every day. Sometimes they’ll take the lottery slips and fill them in the back when they’re getting water or something like that. It varies but we get a lot more in general, a lot of people getting them,” said Cody Heron of Easthampton.
If you pick all six numbers correctly and choose the ‘Lump Sum Cash’ option, you’ll receive a check for $244-million.
Mega millions tickets are one dollar each.
22News will have the winning combination this Friday night on 22News at 11PM.
