West Springfield Police alert residents about daytime house break-ins

The target items are jewelry and small electronics

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – West Springfield Police are alerting residents about a recent series of daytime house break-ins.

The alert goes out to all residents, but specifically residents who live near the CSX Railroad tracks/Westfield River and abutting wood line, from the areas of Plateau Ave. to Dorwin Drive and Ashley Street areas.

According to the West Springfield Police Department, the series of break-ins occurred between June 8 and June 19, with multiple houses being broken into. Jewelry and small electronics are the target items.

“At this time, a thinly built Hispanic male in his mid-20s, w/ an abnormality to his front teeth and approximately 5’8” tall is a person of interest, as well as a white female, 5’1” – 5’5” tall with longer blonde hair,” reads a posting on the West Springfield Police Departments official Facebook page.

The West Springfield Police Department is asking residents to be alert and vigilant, and report any suspicious activity immediately to (413)-263-3210.
